PuttHunter begins with putting because it is where structured solo practice can be most accessible. Swing Lab extends the same product philosophy to full swings: choose one intention, gather comparable evidence, and review a pattern instead of reacting to one dramatic clip.
A focused five-swing loop
- Name the intention. Choose one supported focus and record the feel or change you are testing.
- Set the camera honestly. Use a stable, face-on view with the golfer and club visible.
- Capture five qualified swings. A rejected clip does not quietly become a measurement.
- Inspect the evidence. Review supported checkpoints, medians, and variability.
- Decide what to repeat. Compare against your own practice baseline, not a fictional perfect body.
The capture verdict comes first
Camera availability is not the same as measurement quality. Swing Lab keeps the requested, selected, and observed capture settings with the result. Framing, visibility, timing continuity, image quality, and impact evidence can each make a metric unavailable.
Honest unavailable states
The first native Swing Lab build can guide capture while analysis remains explicitly unavailable. It will not display fabricated values simply because a clip exists.

Swing Lab is not a second brand, store listing, or subscription. Putting and full swing share the PuttHunter shell, identity, entitlement, and high-level history. Their capture protocols and result schemas stay separate so improving one measurement system cannot silently alter the other.

Is Swing Lab a launch monitor?
No. It is designed for supported camera-observable movement and timing. It does not claim direct ball speed, spin, force, or complete three-dimensional club delivery from an ordinary phone camera.
Why start with face-on 7-iron swings?
A narrow capture contract makes comparison and validation possible. Other clubs and views require their own evidence before becoming supported product modes.
Is Swing Lab available now?
Not publicly. The native capture and evaluation boundaries are being built and tested before store release.
